With war looming, and the Southern Court in revolt against their new King, Henri and Brielle are surrounded by enemies on all sides. Forced to make alliances with those they know they cannot trust, both will be thrown into a dangerous game of court politics where losing will cost them more than their lives.
Alliances will shift. Sacrifices will be made. And a dormant line of ancient blood magic will awaken. Will history be doomed to repeat itself? Or will a new destiny be reforged in the flames?

My thoughts on To Reforge a Destiny by Claire Butler
In this book, we experience the gradual buildup towards the final battle and the actual battle itself. Despite the battle’s brevity within the story, it remained consistently engaging.
However, it’s worth noting that while the plot is undeniably exceptional, it’s the characters who truly shine in this book. Character development takes center stage, offering a deeply satisfying narrative. Each character possesses unique motivations and emotions that evolve in tandem with the unfolding story.
At the outset of the series, these characters presented stark differences and held imperfections that initially made me apprehensive about embracing them. They all grappled with pivotal decisions that would shape their destinies, and I found myself unable to predict their choices because they were portrayed with such authenticity, making them feel genuinely real.
Tropes in this book:
Revenge, redemption, a wood that fights back, touch her and die, enemies to lovers to enemies, who did this to you, tragic love, unrequited love, epic battle scene
