REVIEW

This book gave me Elementary vibes as we meet Jamie Watson in America in a boarding school called Sherringford. It is a fantastic and well written young adult mystery novel.

Jamie Watson and Charlotte Holmes definitely compliment each other out as protagonists. Charlotte Holmes is extremely intelligent and calculated and reminds me completely of Sherlock Holmes by her deductions and her vices, even the way she plays the violin. James Watson is grounded and supportive, but seems impulsive and is heavily led by the stories of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.

Their friendship seems fated as their shared ancestry leads to a more individual connection. They are best friends first but romantic feelings are beginning to form in the book, I feel like it will be a slow burn romance. It is refreshing to see a friendship grow first.

I really enjoyed the book and recommend it to any reader who loves mystery novels.
