Who is Jodie Homer?

What was your inspiration for Meet You in the Summer?
I wanted Lucy to have her own HEA. Lucy is Emilia’s sister in Magical Christmas on the Isle of Skye and I wanted her to be happy. Still, I wanted to give readers closure to Emilia and Harry so the book features their wedding as well as Lucy’s story.
What drew you to writing?
I loved writing the myth books because the research was fun so once I had the myth I worked the romance around it plus I love writing books based in the summer

That’s easy. Lucy is first introduced in A Magical Christmas as the older sister I never actually was going to make her a story but it came to me and I had to
What was your process for writing Meet You in the Summer?
Research first and then write and check back with the first book to make sure the details were right, then write write write and edit
What is your approach to world and character building?
I sometimes know exactly how I want the place to look but with this book, I’ve never been to Scotland so it was a lot of Google Maps. I always make sure the communities are tight-knit so everyone knows everyone and it’s a lovely village or town everyone wants to be in

Did you have a favourite moment in the book to write?
Yes, I love my first chapter it’s like the perfect first date and it made me swoon. I love my first chapter date.
What was your favourite book growing up?
My favourite books were the Famous Five books. The kids were super cool and lucky to have so much to explore right by George’s home.
Do you have a favourite genre to read?
Yes, I love romance it’s pretty much the only genre I read now
