The minute my new boss steps foot in the conference room, my dream job turns into a nightmare.

Jude Reed and I already met.
Last night. In a bar.
We danced. We kissed. I ditched him…
Let’s just say I’m not ready to be a carefree city girl yet. And let’s just say Mr. Reed holds a grudge.

Working for Jude is not what I signed up for, and he won’t be winning Boss of the Year anytime soon. Between his sky-high expectations and cryptic explanations, he has the entire office on their toes.

“Grumpy” doesn’t begin to describe him.

Or so I thought…

Because the more time I spend around him, the more his tough exterior crumbles, revealing someone as sweet as his secret baking talent.

There’s a reason he plays an intimidating role that strikes fear into his employees, but just knowing there’s a caring man behind the mask doesn’t mean I’m suited to be anything more than his assistant.

No matter how irresistible he is.

What is Resisting My Boss by Marion De Ré?

Resisting My Boss by Marion De Ré is the second book in the For the Love Rom-com series in which all the books are standalone and are dual POV.

A new boss transforms the dream job into a nightmare. After a chance encounter with Jude Reed, the relationship takes a complicated turn. Despite his grumpy exterior, discovering his caring side challenges the initial perceptions. The story unfolds as the protagonist navigates unexpected complexities while working for Jude.

My thoughts on Resisting My Boss

This is a great grumpy/sunshine office romance that I could not put down. This book is fast paced, light-hearted and a happily ever after read. This book is well-written and includes lots of witty banter.

My favourite scene was the food fight and the cooking lesson! Lina and Jude’s interaction was fantastic and I loved how passionate Lina was about her job. Lina is happy-go-lucky and kind, while Jude is the grumpy workaholic who is also a protective, caring guy who has a sense of humour. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Jude! This was an enjoyable read with unpredictable twists and turns.

Definitely reading again and I need more!
