Golf is for rich, pretentious jerks who need something to do while they gossip.
That’s always been my opinion. So when my best friend lands me an interview with Miles Day–the youngest golfer to ever win the Masters–I almost say no.
But the six-figure salary attached to the position is too good to pass up.
Miles gives me the job as his assistant, with one caveat–don’t fall in love with him. Easy. So easy that I laugh in his face when he so much as suggests the possibility.
Except… the more time I spend with Miles, the harder it is to resist his charming smile and glittering green eyes.
Catching feelings for him isn’t an option though, because I have goals to reach, and he has an aversion to commitment. Falling in love would be a mistake, one neither of us are willing to make.
What is The Perfect Putt by Annah Conwell about?
The Perfect Putt is the second book in the More Than A Game series by Annah Conwell.
I’ve always thought golf was for rich, pretentious jerks, so when my best friend gets me an interview with Miles Day, the youngest golfer to win the Masters, I almost decline. However, the six-figure salary is too tempting to pass up. Miles hires me as his assistant with one condition: don’t fall in love with him. Initially, I find this laughable, but as I spend more time with his charming smile and glittering green eyes, resisting becomes increasingly difficult. Despite the growing attraction, falling in love isn’t an option, as I have my own goals, and Miles avoids commitment.
My thoughts on The Perfect Putt by Annah Conwell
I loved this one! If you’re seeking a short and sweet romance, Annah Conwell’s books are perfect. The boss-assistant romance was handled with great angst and tension, with heated glances and touches that were swoon-worthy. Both characters were relatable, with Ellie as the lovable grump and Miles as the passionate, dedicated one who finally breaks his cycle. Despite being a lighter read, it had depth and intense moments, like heated arguments turning into feverish kisses. Shaw and Fitz were also highlights, showcasing strong male friendships and support. With fantastic banter and swoony kisses, it’s a quick read with the best summer vibes.
