Two sea nymphs. One tide. Can they calm the violent storms at sea created by their ancestors?

Amphitrite set out to restore the fertility of the sea over three thousand years ago. With the fae queen in her possession, she’s determined to slay a fae king and save her friend from a curse born of fae blood. Finding the ancient king who guards the sacred mountain is easier said than done. She must flirt her way through the frozen world of ancient Scotland alongside Damien’s giant huntsman ancestor.

Selia is taking her first steps into the unknown world of motherhood. With a new fiancé and a baby on the way, she’s quickly getting lost in her cozy new life among Damien’s Scottish family. She’s haunted by the spirit of a selkie who claims she stole something from her ancestors. To understand her new salt trancing abilities, she must learn everything she can about an ancient bond she failed to form with a storm dragon.

With the arrival of the winter solstice, Amphitrite’s window of opportunity opens to work her magic on Damien’s ancestors. While she sets out to navigate the frozen terrain of Winter Forest to track down the fae king, Selia discovers that not even her memories are safe from the wickedly seductive salt venom.

Friends become foes as Amphitrite and Selia fight to turn the tides in their favor. Will the ancestors side with the two sea nymphs? Or will the tides turn against them both?

What is Tidal Ancestry by Amanda Casey about?

Tidal Ancestry by Amanda Casey is the second book in the Ocean Apothecary series.

In “Tides of Seduction,” Amphitrite, a sea nymph, embarks on a quest over three thousand years old to restore the sea’s fertility. Armed with the fae queen and determined to slay a fae king to break a curse on her friend, Amphitrite faces the challenge of finding the ancient king who guards a sacred mountain. Flirting her way through ancient Scotland alongside Damien’s giant huntsman ancestor, she navigates a frozen world.

Meanwhile, Selia, also a sea nymph, is entering motherhood with a new fiancé and a baby on the way. Immersed in her cozy life among Damien’s Scottish family, she grapples with the haunting spirit of a selkie who accuses her of stealing from her ancestors. To comprehend her new salt trancing abilities, Selia delves into the intricacies of an ancient bond she failed to form with a storm dragon.

As the winter solstice approaches, Amphitrite seizes the opportunity to work her magic on Damien’s ancestors, while Selia discovers that even her memories are not safe from the alluring yet wicked salt venom. The story unfolds against the backdrop of Winter Forest as the two sea nymphs, Amphitrite and Selia, face challenges and adversaries, leaving the question of whether the ancestors will support them or if the tides will turn against them.

My thoughts on Tidal Ancestry

This book brilliantly addresses the lingering questions from Blue Reflections. The world-building is truly exceptional, vividly painting the landscapes the author envisioned. Peppercorn, the fae character, was an absolute delight, adding an extra layer of enchantment to the story.

With a touch of spice, this instalment offers a more intense experience than the previous book, though it doesn’t veer into extremes. A must-read for fantasy enthusiasts intrigued by the blend of Egyptian Gods and Goddesses with Celtic mythology. Excitedly anticipating Amanda Casey’s next venture because I’m all in for the journey!

This book has:
– Mythology
– Incredible characters
– Complex storyline
– Peppercorn
