Throne of Glass Book Review

Throne of Glass is the first book in the Throne of Glass (TOG) series by Sarah J Maas.

BLURB

Meet Celaena Sardothien.
Beautiful. Deadly. Destined for greatness.

In the dark, filthy salt mines of Endovier, an eighteen-year-old girl is serving a life sentence. She is a trained assassin, the best of her kind, but she made a fatal mistake. She got caught.

Young Captain Westfall offers her a deal: her freedom in return for one huge sacrifice. Celaena must represent the prince in a to-the-death tournament – fighting the most gifted thieves and assassins in the land. Live or die, Celaena will be free. Win or lose, she is about to discover her true destiny. But will her assassin’s heart be melted?

REVIEW

Sarah J Maas truely knows how to set up her worlds and characters to immediately have you hooked.

Celaena is a strong women, who doesn’t give up easily. I love the character growth as she shows her strength and builds a friendship with Captain Westfall.

I absolutely love the imagery of the world and I could truely imagine the forest and the castle Celaena goes too.

The mystery and the importance for Celaena to win the tournament fully comes across and she never once backs down to earn her freedom.

I’m looking forward to see what happens with her friendships and what will happen in the next book.
