World Read Aloud Day 2024

Celebrate the power of reading aloud

World Read Aloud Day is celebrated on the 7th of February(today) this year. Established in 2010 by the nonprofit organization LitWorld, World Read Aloud Day aims to highlight literacy as a fundamental human right. Since its inception, this day has evolved into a captivating global event, embraced by millions of readers and listeners across more than 170 countries!

Participating in World Read Aloud Day is as easy as picking a book, finding an audience and reading the book to people.

Why is Reading Aloud important?

The act of reading aloud holds tremendous power in fostering essential literacy skills for individuals of all ages. The impact of student literacy extends beyond the confines of the classroom, influencing learners across various subjects and grade levels. To address the contemporary demands of today’s educational landscape, employing robust learning tools proves to be a strategic and pragmatic approach. These tools play a crucial role in equipping students with the necessary literacy skills, paving the way for success both in academic pursuits and in the broader scope of life.
